Gurata had of course taken part in many feasts, though usually they were arranged by Sister Horse and Sister Sheep. Few in comparison were the times when he presided over a feast himself. Usually when he did it was primitive affairs of mortals over a single freshly killed beast, a monster with uncorrupted flesh, roasted over his flames to give succour and strength to the heroes at his call. Even fewer were the times when he manifested resplendent furnishings and divine produce. He had some experience in quickly downing and preparing trees into long table and benches.
So it was that Gurata early in the morning stalked the shivering trees near the shrine with Jahodo, seeking out a suitable victim to convert.
Landing on a crooked cherry branch, wings a flutter Jahodo slapped the tree with his boarhead's tusks as a bird might his beak.
"How is this one my Lord?"
Gurata gave a godly critical eye.
"Too thin"
If a tree could sigh in relief, it would have.
So the pair of god and servant continued for some time, Jahodo never tired in asking, though he knew not what Gurata was looking for.
At last, they came upon a lone ashen barked fire maple, orange leaved the whole year except for winter.
"Is this the one?"
"It's a shame when there's so few maples here, but this will be the best one"
The maple began to visibly shake.
At this moment, it's worth noting, that while the pantheon of stars took the policy of fencing and constricting enchanted, blessed and cursed forests...
Gurata had employed a different method in the past for forests and their dwellers who refused to behave. He uprooted them of course. The whole wood.
Coupled with his domain of fire, Gurata Treebane was in fact quite intimidated by him when he was actually looking to down a tree.
There was an almighty creaking and cracking and a nearby cherry was pushed out of the soil, Jahodo just about caught sight of some roots escaping back under the soil.
Gurata stared at the fire maple.
"Since you are so desperate to live, and have already begun to awaken wisdom as a spirit tree, I shall spare you this time"
"Marvelous! Rejoice at his favour!" Jahodo crowed.
The fire maple's branches drooped in imitation of bowing.
In moments, Gurata had stripped down the cherry of branches and bundled them for Jahodo to carry as he flew. Jahodo still had the body of a corpulent pigeon, but now he had the strength of several mighty boars.
Having stripped the branches, he tossed the trunk into the air and caught it with his tusks, in short order, they were back at the shrine and the trees were greatly relieved.
Jahodo eagerly watched as Gurata shaped the trunk into a table and two benches, hoping from foot to foot like a comical vulture impatient for prey to die.
The result was a clean furnishing of divine workmanship. The roots were mostly untouched, though both dirt and the surface layer had been stripped. Roots after all, were works of art ftom the beginning.
Gurata surveyed his creation, ignoring Jahodo who was chirping praises. The boarhead bird was quickly silenced when Gurata after twisting his head this way and that, spat out his ruby blood across the table and benches. Glittering like sparks from flame, the benches and table transformed into red lacquered wood.
Naturally, it looked quite nice, but Jahodo got the vaguest impression on a second look that the table looked a little like a severed tongue.
"Ah, it happened again. It's another tongue table" Gurata shook his head.
It still looked good, but, that impression was definitely there...
Putting the tongueness of the table aside, Gurata moved onto the next matter. He let out a low rumble, and after a few moments various creatures of the forest came out, from wild boar to deer, sparrow to pheasant all bowing low in the manner of the beasts and birds.
Gurata then spoke to the assembly in the tongue of the lesser beings.
"Of one large and two small, who will offer themselves for the life of others to feast upon?"
A young stag with limping leg and two rabbits from the plentiful families came forth as the rest of the animals departed.
So it was that when Fionko came up the hill, she saw her god directing Jahodo in turning a spit that held a stag that selflessly gave its life in sacrifice nobler than the play of predator and prey. Zibell was sitting on the phone she was bound to, little legs dangling over the edge of the table.
Between the offerings she brought and those offerings from the wild that Gurata, a fine feast was had, and Fionko went to her graveyard shift at a convenience store full if pep and vigor.
On the whole Gurata felt more assured in the matter of parties.
Having feasted anew, what will you do O declined god of fire and blood?

STANCE
Excited
Sometimes being a bit hyped is good for morale. A fizzy feeling can be the pep you need. A cool head isn't always cool.
Brutal
The blade that cuts through the knot, smashing treasure and chest both. Sometimes however mercy and a light hand is better
Honesty
They say it's best policy, but there's a difference between lying by omission and keeping your gob shut. If nothing else, truth told at the wrong time can have the same result as a lie. Where truth is concerned destruction best have a meaning.
Reckless
Surely this would never be a good pick? Well, sometimes you gotta put your chips on the table and leap across to strangle your opponent. It's all about knowing when to charge forth.
Obtuse
While honesty is best policy, sometimes playing dumb and dragging your hooves is just what is needed.
ACTIONS
Plan for a Feast
He who steadily builds will not go astray, together with your followers, plan out a feast for Edolin.
Set up a Shrine Account
Zibell should make setting up such a thing a lot easier. Though perhaps it's a bit early for this still.
Check on the other Enchanted Forest
There's another one with a lake near your hill shrine. It should be fine, after all, you occasionally have a dip in the lake.
Contact Corato
There was something about that man, worn out as his soul was, a conversation with that mortal could prove fruitful.
Visit Brother Dragon's Shrine
Perhaps it would be better to show your face when you're more restored, but paying your respects is important. He warrants that, especially in light of what you've seen.
